Ayurveda dates back to the world's oldest science of health and healing

It is said that Ayurveda is as old as mankind. Legend has it that Ayurvedic wisdom was passed on by healers in heaven to meditating ascetics from the Himalayas seeking self actualization and fulfilment. The oldest written Ayurvedic records date back to 5000‑3000 B.C., making Ayurveda the oldest medical science. It is often referred to as the "Mother of medicine". Many ideas of the most famous ancient Greek physician, "Hippocrates from Cos", originated from wise men living in regions around the Himalayas.

The wisdom of Life

"Ayus" (life) und "Veda" (wisdom) are two terms coming from the ancient Indian language Sanskrit, according to which Ayurveda means "the wisdom of a long and healthy life". Ayurveda not only promotes good health, but also heals sickness and disease. In doing so, it takes the individual mental and physical state of each person into consideration. Ayurveda is a comprehensive philosophy of life and is furthermore holistic medicine which helps us to be able to enjoy a fulfilling and happy life. Ayurveda is based on thousands of years of ancient knowledge and experience

  • about cleansing the body and the mind,
  • about fine-tuning nutrition and food to individual needs and
